Ma. Paz. K. Fabella (GS 1973, HS
1977)With her
Masters Degree in Management Finance
and Management Policy from Kellog
Graduate School, it’s no wonder that
Bunny’s work experiences are all
banking and finance related. Her
last stint was with ATR-KIM Capital
Partners, Inc, where she was the
Associate Director for Corporate
Finance. At present, Bunny keeps
busy with her food services firm
Gilmore Gourmet, and tends to her
very flourishing herb garden.

Atty. Vilma D. Fabian (HS 1978)
An HRA graduate who first joined the
workforce as a trainee at the Hotel
Intercontinental Manila, Mari has
come a long way from the hospitality
industry to heading her own law
firm, Fabian Law Office. She
specializes in corporate, banking,
immigration, family and personal,
labor, and real estate law. She was
a partner in Roque, Butuyan, Fabian
& Gangoso Law Offices and has held
various positions in the banking
industry. An avid golfer, Mari also
counts reading and boxing as her
favorite hobbies.

Bernadette A. Sanvictores (GS
1968, HS 1972)
Bea’s first job
right after college was as a
Guidance Counselor in Maryknoll
College Grade School from 1977 to
1979. She then worked as a
Psychological Assistant in
Commercial Bank and Trust Co. and
Bank of the Philippine Islands from
1979 to 1980. Bea and her family
lived in Japan for three (3) years.
She is currently active with the
Philippines-Japan Ladies Association
where she has been a member since
1985.

Nina Daza Puyat (GS 1976, HS
1980)Nina’s genes
must have naturally shaped her
career and inclinations. A Cornell
University graduate, she was a food
consultant for Good Housekeeping
magazine, a food stylist for Del
Monte Kitchenomics, and a former
food columnist for Parents Magazine.
She co-authored “The Philippine
Cookbook” and also co-hosted the
popular TV show “Cooking with the
Dazas.” Her latest endeavor is “Clippity
Clips,” retailing fashionable hair
accessories.

Ma. Rowena Belmonte Caingat(GS 1978,
HS 1982)An
architect by profession, Boots has
designed many residences, offices
and commercial and institutional
buildings such as the Red Crab chain
of restaurants, Video City, VIVA
Entertainment offices, the UERM
College of Nurses Building, and
various UERMMMC structures. She is
a member of the Chamber of Real
Estate and Builders Association
(CREBA), and the United Architects
of the Philippines (UAP), where she
was president of the Diliman
chapter. Under her stewardship, the
UAP Diliman won two consecutive Best
Chapter Awards, beating over 90
chapters composed of 15,000
architects in the Philippines, and
was subsequently elevated to the
Hall of Fame

Currently
Citibank Vice President, heading
CITIGOLD Acquisition and People
Development, Nancy has extensive
banking experience in sales service
and management. She served as MMCAA
Assistant Corporate Secretary
in 2005.

Maria Paz Moreno (Coll 1957)
Tootsie was an Administrative
Services Assistant at The World
Health Organization and
Marketing/Export Manager of The
Candy Lion Philippines. She became
a volunteer for the environment in
1997, along with the Miriam (Maryknoll)
College Environmental Studies
Institute (ESI) and a close-knit
group of friends; she helped educate
Filipinos in environmental awareness
and practices and raised funds for
ESI projects. She is active with
this year’s Golden Girls, and
recently joined a foundation
dedicated to supplemental feeding
for malnourished children in
marginalized communities. Of the
MMCAA, she says “working with
achievers and resourceful,
successful women from my school is
another enlightening and inspiring
achievement.”

A cum laude
Bachelor of Arts graduate, Elaine
currently works with the ABS-CBN
Broadcasting Corporation, Inc. as
Executive Secretary to the Head -
Channel 2 and Studio 23 Sales. She
was Staff Assistant to the External
Affairs Officer at the Miriam
College Foundation, Inc.’s Alumni &
External Affairs Office from
1999-2001, and was with Philippine
Airlines from 1987-1999.
She is very active
with the Maryknoll-Miriam College
Alumni Association holding various
positions such as Board Director,
PRO (1987-1989 and 1990-1992) as
well as Board Director,
VP-Membership (2001-2003).

Ma. Luisa D. Aquino (GS 1975, HS
1979)A magna cum
laude BS Biology graduate from the
University of Sto. Tomas, Lui is a
General and Pediatric Surgeon,
lecturer, and facilitator, currently
affiliated with the Gat Andres
Bonifacio Medical Center, and a
visiting consultant with Lourdes
Hospital, Victor R. Potenciano
Memorial Medical Center (formerly
Polymedic), and the Cardinal Santos
Medical Center.
A civic-minded
individual, Lui does volunteer work,
is a Medical Reserve Officer for the
Philippine Navy, and organizes and
participates in various medical and
surgical missions.

Alice Canlas Avancena (HS 1956)
A graduate of the Dominican College
in San Rafael, California, with a
Master in Public and Business
Management from De La Salle College,
Alice devoted forty-two years of her
life to government service,
beginning with the Program
Implementation Agency in the 60’s,
then the Presidential Economic
Staff.
She retired two
years ago as Division Chief of the
Information Division of NEDA after
rendering 32 years of service.
Alice served as President of the
Organization of NEDA Employees and
sat on the Board of the NEDA Credit
Cooperative.

Marinette Yan Aglipay (Coll 1974)
Marinette graduated cum laude with a
degree in International Studies.
She is president of Emirate
Security and Maintenance Systems
Inc, Chairman of EMME-Subic
Transport Corp. and EMME Transport
Facilities Corp. She also devotes a
lot of her time to various
socio-civic organizations such as
the Karangalan ng mga Alagad ng
Batas Foundation where she is
currently the president, and is
also active in the PNP Officers
Ladies Club, Devotees of the Nuestra
Senñora de Piat Foundation, Kaanak
ng mga Bayani Foundation, and the

Louella Ignacio Carlos (GS 1978, HS
1982)Ella is the
Executive Assistant to the General
Manager of S.C. Johnson and Son,
Inc. where she is also the Editor in
Chief of its’ newsletter. She was
an Assistant Manager of the General
Affairs Department at Credit
Lyonnais Manila Offshore Banking
Unit, an Executive Assistant to the
Information Systems Director at the
Philippine Stock Exchange, and her
first job was as an Account Manager
then Personnel Assistant at J.
Walter Thompson Co. (Philippines).
She is currently pursuing her M.A.
in Educational Administration at the
University of the Philippines,
Diliman.

Milen Galang Treichler (GS
1978, HS 1982)
After a two-year “Mommy” sabbatical,
Milen recently joined Shang
Properties, Inc., a company of the
Kuok Group, as Marketing Manager.
Previously, she was the Director of
Communications at Edsa Shangri-La
hotel and cut her teeth in
advertising at J. Walter Thompson
Co. Phils., where she left as
Management Supervisor after working
there for almost 11 years.
She has a Master of Arts degree in
Marketing Communications from
Emerson College, in Boston.
