IT WAS FUN AT THE
S.P.A PARTY!
Despite the rain
shower in the afternoon of July 21, a
number of alumnae still came to the
Escaler Wing, Moro Lorenzo Sports
Center, Ateneo de Manila to get their
free back and leg massages, chit-chat
with friends and fellow alumnae while
partaking of a delightful merienda. The
vibrant balloons and decors (c/o
Dazzling Celebrations), beautiful
assortment of flowers (c/o King Louis
Flowers) and the relaxing scent of
lavender-scented candles from Alice Blue
greeted everyone. The lively group of
women were welcomed by MMCAA President
Mari D. Fabian who also presented the
different projects the MMCAA is
currently undertaking which its alumni
members can look forward to this year.
Everyone also eagerly anticipated the
enlightening talk of Dra. Prudence
Aquino of St. Luke’s Medical Center
regarding perimenopause and menopause.
Slimming and massage equipments,
detoxifying foot baths were also
available for people to sample. The
queue never ceased for the relaxing Thai
head, back and arm massages from Zeny
Intal-De Jesus’ (COLL ‘77) Ayutthaya Spa
masseuses and others for their leg
reflexology massages. Everyone enjoyed
the fun limberdance exercises given by
Liza Dela Fuente-Castañeda (GS ‘79, HS
‘83) of Ridgepoint Ballet and Dance
Studio.
This annual alumnae
tea party had been ongoing for three
years now and this year’s party was
spearheaded by MMCAA Vice-President for
Special Projects, Nina Daza-Puyat.
Hosting these alumnae parties is also
MMCAA’s way of servicing its member by
showcasing products and services offered
by alumni by providing a venue to
network and meet fellow alumnae while
plainly having fun and bonding with each
other. We hope to see you in the next
MMCAA party treat!
