An anticipated mass
sponsored by Grade School 1982, will
start at 4:30 P.M. at the College
Chapel. The much-awaited Jubilee Class
Homecoming program starts at 6:00 P.M.
at the Marian Auditorium followed by a
dance party and raffle draw of exciting
prizes from 8:00pm to 12:00 midnight at
the College Cafeteria leading to an
open-air tent which will be installed
right beside the college gym area.

YEARBOOK & RUMMAGE SALE
Calling all members of
Miriam College High School Class of 2006
(MCHS 2006) your Magnificat 2006 is
ready and will be distributed on June
29-30, 2007 at the High School APSA
foyer. Come and get your copy!
Also, on Saturday, July
30, 2007 MCHS 2006 will have a RUMMAGE
SALE beside the ESI Building, Miriam
College. All alumni are invited to come
and support this endeavor as proceeds of
this sale will benefit the Magnificat
Scholarship Endowed Fund. This
scholarship fund was established by both
parents and graduates of MCHS 2006 to
support the studies of a batchmate
throughout her 4 collegiate years in
Miriam. MCHS 2006 earns the distinction
of being the youngest batch to establish
an Endowed Scholarship Fund to date.
SEARCH FOR 2007 MMCAA
BOARD
We would like to
reiterate that the search is on for
candidates who are capable and willing
to serve on the 2008 MMCAA Board of
Trustees.
There will be five (5)
seats from the Board that will have to
be filled during the elections come
September 8, 2007 (Homecoming Day - -
the MMCAA General Assembly). As per the
amended By-Laws of the MMCAA (2003),
each member of the Board shall hold
office for a period of two (2)
consecutive years. A member of the Board
who has served two consecutive terms (or
a total of 4 years) may be elected anew
for another term only after the lapse of
one term. We encourage representatives
of forthcoming celebrating jubilee
classes to sit in the Board.
Interested alumni are
requested to submit the following to
the MMCAA Office on or before
July 30, 2007.

All nominations will be
processed and received by the MMCAA

Growth, Upgrading and
Resource Office (GURO): Miriam
College Teacher Institute
The Growth, Upgrading
and Resource Office (GURO) was created
to serve as a teacher training center
offering professional development
programs to the Miriam College faculty
and to external groups and individuals.
It will bring the resources of Miriam
College to the service of public and
private schools as well as local
governments and low income partner
communities as part of the institution’s
response to the needs of Philippine
education.
GURO will be headed by
Dr. Evelina M. Vicencio, Executive
Director, and Ms. Ma. Jamelia F.
Villanueva, Associate Director.

The first Filipino elected as Regional
Coordinator of the Maryknoll Sisters in
the Philippines. Former Chairperson of
the Maryknoll College Board of Trustee.
Pioneer member of the Baguio-based
Center for Integrity of Creation and the
Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary.
